DOCUMENTACIÓN OBLIGATORIA

Al momento de recoger el vehículo, el conductor principal deberá presentar los siguientes documentos originales:

– Confirmación de la reserva (factura o voucher).
– Comprobante de los términos y condiciones del alquiler.
– Pasaporte o documento nacional de identidad vigente.
– Licencia de conducir válida y en vigor.
– Tarjeta de crédito o débito física (habilitada para transacciones en moneda extranjera) a nombre del conductor principal. Se aceptan las redes: Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club o Discover. Se aplicará una retención temporal de entre $300 y $2,000 USD (según el tipo de vehículo y el seguro contratado) como garantía de depósito. No se aceptan tarjetas virtuales ni digitales.

Requisitos del Conductor
– La edad mínima para alquilar un vehículo es de 21 años.
– Se aplica un suplemento por conductor joven de $12.99 USD por día para conductores menores de 25 años.
– Para la recogida del vehículo, se requieren obligatoriamente: licencia de conducir válida, tarjeta de crédito/débito a nombre del conductor principal, y pasaporte o documento de identidad.

Seguro Vehicular
– Seguro CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) o de colisión: El cliente deberá presentar prueba de cobertura de seguro (carta emitida por el banco o página de declaración de póliza) al momento de la renta. En caso de no contar con cobertura válida, deberá adquirirla obligatoriamente con la compañía de alquiler. La contratación del seguro a través de la rentadora incrementa el monto de la retención en el depósito de garantía.
– El seguro básico obligatorio incluye responsabilidad civil y daños a terceros (TPL), cuyo costo varía según el vehículo y la temporada.

Dispositivo de Telepeaje
Todos los vehículos están equipados con el dispositivo E-ZPass (o SunPass) integrado en el parabrisas. Es obligatorio adquirir uno de los planes de telepeaje ofrecidos por la rentadora.
– El plan prepagado tiene un costo de $19.99 USD e incluye la tarifa de activación ($14.99 USD por día).
– No se aceptan peajes secundarios ni pases para visitantes.
– Si el cliente retira o daña la calcomanía SunPass del vehículo, se aplicará una multa adicional de $500 USD.

Tasas y Cargos Adicionales
Los siguientes cargos deberán pagarse al momento de la recogida del vehículo (los montos varían según el vehículo, la temporada y las condiciones específicas):
– Cargo por entrega en una ubicación diferente (One-Way Fee).
– RSV, cargo por procesamiento y facilidades, recuperación de licencias (RDF), recargos varios, impuesto sobre ventas (Sales Tax), cargo por no presentación (No-Show) y cargo por atención fuera de horario.

Información Adicional Importante
a) Devolución anticipada: No se realiza ningún reembolso por devolución antes de la fecha acordada. Todos los importes pagados son no reembolsables, sin excepciones.

b) No presentación (No-Show): Si el cliente no se presenta dentro de la hora siguiente a la hora programada de recogida, la rentadora podrá declarar la reserva como No-Show y cancelar la disponibilidad del vehículo. En caso de que el vehículo siga disponible y el cliente llegue más tarde, se aplicará una tarifa de reposición de hasta $65.00 USD más impuestos.

c) Devolución tardía: El vehículo debe devolverse en la fecha y hora indicadas en el contrato. Se concede un período de gracia de 2 horas sin cargo adicional. Transcurrido este tiempo, se podrá aplicar un cargo por devolución tardía de hasta $160.00 USD más impuestos. Adicionalmente, los proveedores suelen aplicar un período de gracia de 29 minutos; superado este, podrá cobrarse un día completo de alquiler extra.

d) Modificaciones: Los clientes pueden modificar su reserva siempre que lo soliciten con al menos 48 horas de antelación a la hora de recogida.

e) Cancelaciones y penalizaciones: Las cancelaciones, no presentaciones o no cumplir con los requisitos en el mostrador generarán un cargo equivalente a un día de alquiler o una tarifa administrativa de $150.00 USD (el mayor de ambos).

Todas las cancelaciones y modificaciones deben realizarse a través del canal original de reserva. Los prepagos son no reembolsables. En caso de cancelación o cambio de itinerario, el monto prepagado podrá utilizarse dentro de los 18 meses siguientes.

No existen exenciones.

– No se garantiza un modelo específico de vehículo, solo uno similar dentro de la misma categoría.
– Los vehículos solo pueden circular dentro del territorio del estado donde fueron recogidos. La violación de restricciones territoriales o transfronterizas invalida todas las coberturas de seguro y puede generar cargos adicionales.
– Período de gracia para recogida: 1 hora (no aplicable fuera del horario de atención). En caso de retraso, contacte directamente con la oficina.
– Horario de atención: 06:00 a 21:00. Las recogidas o devoluciones fuera de este horario incurren en un cargo adicional de $50 USD (sujeto a disponibilidad y discreción de la rentadora).
– Cualquier modificación a la confirmación debe solicitarse por correo electrónico.

MANDATORY DOCUMENTATION

At the time of vehicle pickup, the driver must present the following documents:
– Reservation invoice (Confirmation).
– Proof of rental conditions (Terms and Conditions).
– Passport / National identification document.
– Valid and current driver’s license.
– Physical Credit or Debit Card (enabled for payments in foreign currency) in the name of the driver. These cards may be from the networks: Visa, Master, Diners, or Discover. A hold of $300 to $2,000 USD will be applied to this card, depending on the vehicle type and vehicle insurance, as a security guarantee. Virtual/Digital cards are not accepted.

Driver:
– The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years.
– A young driver supplement of $12.99 USD per day applies to drivers under 25 years old.
– To pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver’s license, credit/debit card in the name of the main driver, Passport or identification card.

Vehicle Insurance:
CDW or Collision Insurance: The customer must provide proof of insurance (letter generated by the bank or declaration page) at the time of renting the vehicle. If there is no coverage, the customer must purchase one from the rental company. Purchasing insurance through TC increases the security deposit hold amount. Mandatory basic insurance includes third-party liability/damages (TPL varies by vehicle and season, starting from $24.99 USD per day).

Toll Device:
All our vehicles are equipped with the E/PASS device incorporated in the windshield, and it is mandatory to purchase one of the toll models offered by the rental company. If the customer removes the Sunpass (sticker) from the vehicle, an additional fine of $500 USD will be applied. The prepaid toll system costs $19.99, which already includes the activation fee of $14.99 per day. Secondary tolls or visitor passes are not accepted.

Fees:
The corresponding fees include: one-way fee, RSV, after-hour fee, process and facility/license recovery/RDF, surcharge, No-Show, and Sales Tax. These must be paid at the time of vehicle pickup (vary by vehicle and season).

Additional Information:
a) There is no refund for early return. All amounts paid are non-refundable. No exceptions.
b) If the renter does not show up within 1 hour after the scheduled pickup time, the rental company has the right to declare the event as NO-SHOW and not provide a vehicle if the renter arrives later. If the rental company had the vehicle available after marking NO-SHOW on the reservation, a restocking fee of up to $65.00 plus taxes will apply.
c) The vehicle must be returned on the date and time indicated in the rental contract. There is a 2-hour grace period for returning the vehicle without charges. Otherwise, a late return fee of up to $160.00 plus taxes may apply.
d) Customers may modify their reservation with at least 48 hours’ notice before the pickup time.
e) Cancellations, no-shows, or failure to qualify for the rental at the counter will be subject to a one-day rental charge or an administrative fee of $150.00, whichever is greater. All cancellations and modifications must be made through the original booking source. All prepaid reservations are non-refundable. In case of cancellation or change in your itinerary, you have up to 18 months to use the prepaid amount. All amounts paid are non-refundable; there are no exemptions.
A specific vehicle model is not guaranteed; only similar vehicles are guaranteed at the time of pickup. Vehicles may only circulate within the territory of the state where they were picked up. In case of violation of Cross-Border and Territorial Restrictions, all insurance coverage becomes invalid, and additional charges may apply. There is a 1-hour grace period between the reserved pickup time and the actual pickup time. After this period, the reservation is considered «not picked up,» and a «no-show» fee may apply. Please note that the grace period does not apply outside the station’s opening hours. In case of delay, we advise you to contact the rental office directly. Regarding returns, providers usually offer a 29-minute grace period between the agreed return time and the actual return time at the office. After this period, an additional day’s rental charge may apply. Remember that the service is based on «rental days,» so if a rescheduling is needed, it must be equal to or greater than the originally purchased rental days; the reservation will not be fractionated based on the amount paid. Customer service hours: 6:00 – 21:00. Rentals after 21:00 and before 6:00 will incur an additional out-of-hours service fee of $50 USD. The rental company has full discretion regarding out-of-hours service, based on staff availability and other factors. Any change to a confirmation must be requested by email.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Resident Policies Rentals are not made to residents of the United States, nor to residents of the state of Florida. Reservation Policies Customers must be over 21 years old to rent a vehicle and under 75 years old. Customers ages 21-24 are charged an additional $12.99 per day. If the client is delayed, they must notify about their late arrival to avoid a cancellation. Debit cards are not accepted. Some rates do not include the following: processing and facilities / license recovery / RDF / surcharge and sales tax (these amounts range from $12.99 daily and up, depending on vehicle model and season). Insurance is mandatory for all our vehicle categories. The following types of insurance (SLI), Supplemental Civil Liability Insurance (CDW), Third Party Liability (TPL) are not included in the reservation made. Basic Protection: If your car is stolen, you could lose your entire deposit, but as long as you have basic protection, you don’t need to pay the deductible if your car is stolen. MANDATORY Collision Damage Waiver Covers damage to the body of your rental vehicle, as well as any losses the rental company experiences due to the need to repair your vehicle. (DEDUCTIBLE APPLIES) Customers are responsible for the following: Parking and traffic fines. Car keys. Flat tires (provided the event occurs during the customer’s rental period). Upholstery. The miles are unlimited within the state of Florida, under no circumstances may the vehicle leave the State of Florida, as it will be in violation of our policies and the client will be 100% responsible for tolls and all damages that may be caused to the vehicle. Cancellation policy Reservations are held within one hour from the pickup time. Customers who have delays must contact SAFE TRAVEL to change the pickup time and thus avoid cancellations due to no-shows on time. If the reservation does not show up, no refund will be made. Payments made are non-refundable. If the customer needs to reschedule or has any issues with the reservation, they have up to 12 months to use the reservation. Sumpass (Tolls Florida) Policies The Toll System is mandatory in the state of Florida, there are two ways to acquire it. You can purchase it by activation and consumption, for which the payment is $14.99 per day plus its consumption, or unlimitedly, for which the payment is $19.99 per day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I use my international driver’s license?
Valid driver’s licenses issued in your state or country, as well as international licenses, are accepted.

Do I need insurance?
Yes, insurance is required by state law. Insurance from CANADA OR PUERTO RICO is not accepted. CDW coverage excludes window glass repairs and trailer transportation. Renters MUST have liability and property damage insurance with a minimum coverage of $500,000. Otherwise, you must purchase collision coverage and supplemental liability insurance at the rental counter. Acceptable proof of insurance must include the insurance card in the primary driver’s name, insurance valid for at least 3 months prior to the pickup date. “Please note that no changes to insurance policies will be accepted during this time period or at the time of pickup.” The insurance declaration page must have the following coverage: LIABILITY, PROPERTY DAMAGE $500,000, COLLISION, and COMPLETE COVERAGE that matches the home address on the driver’s license. Exclusions If you drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use the rental vehicle in any other negligent or reckless manner, or fail to comply with the conditions set forth in the Rental Agreement, all insurance coverages, exemptions, etc. applicable provisions will be void and you will be fully responsible for all damage to the vehicle, as well as loss of use and any other related costs. Only authorized drivers registered on the Rental Agreement may drive the rental vehicle. Damage caused by unauthorized drivers is not covered.

 

What are the age requirements and local renters?
You must be at least 21 years of age. Lessees with a Florida driver’s license receive 100 free miles per day $0.99 per additional mile. Luxury, premium vehicles and vans are NOT available to local renters. Travel outside of Florida is prohibited. Deposit for local renters A MAJOR CREDIT CARD will be processed for the total estimated charge plus deposit. Copies of any document will not be accepted.

 

Do you pick up and drop off customers?
Yes, we have a service to pick up and drop off customers for rentals. Do you deliver and pick up the vehicle? Yes, we offer these services.

Do you pick up at airports?
Yes, we pick up at the airport and deliver to the airport.

Do you deliver to hotels?
Yes, we deliver to hotels, but the customer must be present to sign the rental agreement and additional charges apply.

What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with a credit or debit card depending on the vehicle and the season.

Can I use someone else’s credit card to rent a vehicle?
Yes, but the cardholder must present proper identification to sign the rental agreement.

Do I need a deposit?
Yes, a deposit is required for security purposes. The requested deposit amount will be returned to you.

How much is the deposit?
Deposits are based on vehicle type and insurance coverage, generally $150.00 to $250.00 depending on vehicle category. Only credit card deposits are accepted.

What kind of cars do they have?
We have economy cars, compact cars, medium cars, large cars, convertibles, vans, SUVs, mini vans, maxi vans and some exotic cars.

Do you have automatic cars or with manual transmission?
We have automatic and manual transmission cars, be sure to request a manual transmission in advance. Since most of our cars are automatic.

Do they have cars with air conditioning?
Yes, all our cars have air conditioning.

Do you offer accessories with your rentals?
We have accessories that can be rented with the vehicles, all of them have mandatory additional charges which the client himself will be responsible for making the payment at the time of picking up the vehicle. The accessories are baby seats, SIM CARD, GPS, etc.

Are there additional charges?
Prices do not include insurance options, tolls or fees. Process and installations and recovery license and RDF.

Is there an additional charge for fuel?
The fuel must be returned in the same way it was delivered, otherwise you will have to pay for the extra fuel consumption generated by the vehicle.

Is there an additional charge for minors?
Yes, it only applies to customers who are between 21 and 24 years old.

Can I drive out of state?
Vehicles can only be within the state of Florida. Please contact us for an additional fee to take vehicles out of state.
